Course D17 - Operation of a lifeboat and a rescue boat, except for a fast boat, meets the requirements of the STCW Convention of Sections A-V1 / 2 and is based on the provisions of IMO Model 1.23.
It is intended for all seafarers who, when describing their duties, have the knowledge of managing different types of lifeboats.

Content:

• Ship situations that require immediate action
• Use of open, fully enclosed lifeboats and launching devices
• Use and assembly of life-saving equipment, including electronic equipment
• Organization and procedures of search and rescue actions
• Recovery of staff in water

Enrollment conditions

• Identity card or passport
• 1 color image
• 6 months of certified navigation

After successfully completing the course, trainees will be trained in handling and monitoring during or after launching and operating the boat.
The student who successfully completes the course will receive a certificate of participation, and after successfully passing the examination at the Harbor Master's Office, the student will receive a Certificate of competence for handling the rescue boat and rescue boat, except for the fast rescue boat issued by the Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
