This course is intended to provide a knowledge of leadership techniques and skills, pertinent to operational and entry-level professional mariners.

The course is designed to meet the Leadership and Teamworking Skills as outlined within 46 CFR 11.309(c)(1); 46 CFR 11.319(b)(1); 46 CFR 11.321(b)(1) toward renewal of an STCW Code, as amended 2010 endorsement as Officer of a Navigational Watch, and the specific tasks 18.1A, 18.2A, 18.3A, and 18.4A from the National Assessment Guidelines in NVIC 12-14. Additionally, this course will satisfy the requirements of 46 CFR 11.329(c) towards renewal of an STCW Code, as amended 2010, endorsement as Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch; and the specific tasks 16.1A, 16.2.A, 16.3A, 16.4.A from the National Assessment Guidelines in NVIC 17-14.
