This course is required by all seafarers who are employed or engaged in any capacity on ships required to comply with the IPS code but who will not have any designated security duties.

It provides delegates with sufficient knowledge, understanding and proficiency to be aware of the importance of ship security and roles of those involved in its provision, be aware of the requirements and measures to maintain ship security and be able to recognize and report a security threat.

It meets with the amended STCW Convention and code, and can be delivered alongside the basic safety training for Seafarers.
