Course Information:
The RYA Powerboat level 2 is a two-day entry level course, that provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat up to 10 meters in familiar waters.

The course is 85% practical and taught on a 6.5 RIB with 3 persons maximum per course. The course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

No previous experience is required and the minimum age is 12 (Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate).

After the course you are expected to be a self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft
