Lounge Technician (Cruise) – Worldwide

Position Title: Lounge Technician (LNGE)

Overview:
The Lounge Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of sound and lighting systems in entertainment venues on board the ship. They ensure technical equipment functions properly for performances and events and may step in for Sound/Lighting Technicians when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operation and Maintenance:
   • Manage sound and lighting systems in auxiliary venues.
   • Conduct daily inspections, ensuring proper audio levels and lighting.
   • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and inventory.
   • Coordinate with relevant departments for equipment repairs and updates.
2. Event Support:
   • Set up and break down equipment for events like shows, presentations, and theme nights.
   • Assist with special event setups on board, at the pier, or in private destinations.
3. Administrative Duties:
   • Manage communication, including emails and vendor contact.
   • Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper documentation.
   • Update band setup records and ensure backup of show files.
4. Training and Development:
   • Train Technical Stage Staff to improve skills and advance to higher roles.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree or experience in Technical Theatre, Sound, or A/V preferred.
• Previous background in stage production, sound, lighting, or electrical work.

Skills:

• Proficient in operating audio mixing consoles and show lighting systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on audio and lighting equipment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with others.

Physical and Language Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a medical evaluation.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
