Position Title: Physiotherapist
Reports To: Sr. Doctor
Department: Marine/Medical

The Physiotherapist supports the medical team by assessing and treating crewmembers as requested by the doctor. They also assist in preventing and mitigating injuries, collaborating with the Safety Officer, Safety team, and Staff Captain. The role includes providing training in ergonomics, overseeing injury prevention programs, and maintaining medical records.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Physiotherapist

MA in Physiotherapy or related field

Strong patient management, communication, and organizational skills

Intermediate to advanced English proficiency

Valid physiotherapy license

Responsibilities:

Follow Safety and Quality Management System (SQM) policies

Assist with medical forms and ensure confidentiality

Provide ergonomics training to critical departments

Observe and provide feedback on safe work practices

Monitor injuries and follow-up on Tele-PT program compliance

Maintain medical records and inventory of supplies

Participate in emergency drills and maintain positive work behavior

Assist with scheduling and other duties as assigned

Ability to adapt to schedule changes and work 7 days a week

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to participate in emergency drills and lifesaving procedures

Must be physically able to work in varying temperatures and pass basic safety course
