Technical Superintendent (Bulk) – Permanent – SW London – Competitive Salary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established shipping company based South West of London.

Responsibilities include:

• To co-ordinate the shore base management for the ships under his/her superintendency.
• To ensure that his ships are being managed safely and effectively in accordance with the terms of the Company’s Standard and any other criteria necessary for compliance with relevant regulatory bodies.
• Liaise with Clients, as empowered by the Fleet Manager.
• To coordinate the activities of all support departments to ensure that the ship support is achieved in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
• Attend the ship during drydocking and major repair periods in order to ensure that all necessary work and repairs are satisfactorily completed within agreed budgets.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture or similar
• Previous shore based Superintendent Experience (desirable but not essential)
• Experience as a seagoing Engineer on bulk/dry cargo vessels (Desirable)

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK to be considered. The office is based South West of London and you need to live in commutable distance.
