Job Title: Project Engineer, Accommodation Systems Division
Reports To: Project Engineering Manager, Accommodation Systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the design and engineering team for assigned new construction or modernization projects.
  • Progress Oversight: Provide project progress reports to the Project Manager.
  • Quality, Budget, and Schedule Management: Ensure project deliverables align with established quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Contract Management: Oversee and manage agreements with design subcontractors.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop engineering execution plans and define scopes of work during both sales and project phases.
  • Documentation Monitoring: Supervise the preparation and production of design and engineering documentation.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Participate in technical meetings with the shipyard, owners, and classification societies, while offering technical support to the Sales team.
  • Design Control and Reviews: Conduct regular project design control meetings and design reviews.
  • Project Meetings: Attend and contribute to project startup, progress, and close-out meetings.
  • Change Order Management: Track and manage project change orders.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and during guarantee periods.
  • Quality Assurance: Support factory inspections and quality control processes for materials and products, as required.
  • R&D Support: Contribute to research and development initiatives, including innovative concepts, cost-saving programs, and technical awareness efforts.
  • Quality Improvement: Adhere to and promote the company’s Quality System, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Competencies and Qualifications

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage projects effectively, including scheduling, delegation, and organization.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the shipbuilding or offshore industry.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Open-minded and proactive, with the ability to excel in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, and other design tools.
