OOW for Gen.Cargo Vessels - Immediate availability

Intrada Ships Management are looking for Deck Officers of the Watch (newly qualified Officers accepted) to join our expanding fleet of owned and managed general cargo vessels.

** APPLICANTS MUST LIVE WITHIN EUROPE OR THE UK - due to travel requirements **

Our normal vessel trading pattern is northern Europe carrying mostly timber products from Scandinavia / Baltic States to the UK and Ireland.

*** Candidates must hold as a minimum OOW Unlimited issued by an administration accepted by the UK Flag with STCW refreshers and seafarers medical in date ***

The normal contracts lengths are of ten weeks onboard five weeks leave, with the initial contract of five weeks. This can be extended to ten weeks upon successful completion and both parties agreeing.

Whilst on board, you would be responsible for –

• Keeping bridge and port watches as per the Master’s requirements
• Assisting the Chief Officer with the maintenance of charts/nautical publications and for preparing voyage plans
• Assisting the Chief Officer with the vessel’s lifesaving equipment and firefighting equipment
• Assisting the Chief Officer with cargo operations, including lashing/unlashing
• Undertaking mooring duties
• Undertaking any other reasonable requests from the Master or Chief Officer
