Marine Director (Port of Tyne) – North East

Navis Consulting has been exclusively retained by the Port of Tyne to recruit a Marine Director.

The Port of Tyne are seeking to appoint a Marine Director to provide strategic direction and leadership for the Statutory Harbour Authority of the Port of Tyne. Reporting to the CEO, this will be a Leadership Team post responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategies to deliver a modern, reliable, effective and commercially sustainable Marine Services Operation.

Requirements

• Class 1 Masters (Unlimited) Certificate or a relevant degree level equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of Marine Operations in Ports, including Pilotage and VTS
• Recent experience in a similar role in a Port or marine related organization
• Proven track record of leadership within a diverse business environment
• Experience of delivering effective stakeholder management in a marine related organization
• Experience of effectively managing a substantial marine budget
• Able to challenge the status quo, encourage innovation and drive continuous improvement
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
